Save Job Job Saved Position performs quality assurance audits on
assigned production operations, and products. Measures the quality
level of products as compared to design standards. Responsible for
aiding quality improvement efforts and highlighting opportunities
for continuous improvement on the production floor. Helps to ensure
that document control and gauging protocols are adhered to on the
production floor and assists with quality projects and initiatives
as appropriate. This position is for 2nd Shift. 1. Reads and
comprehends all specifications and blue prints pertaining to
products, processes, quality requirements and product controls. 2.
Performs quality audits, including the following activities:
- Understand and apply sampling methodologies.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork.
- When appropriate, file completed audit paperwork in accordance
with record retention requirements.
- Communicate with appropriate personnel audit findings, fully
documenting instances of nonconforming product.
- Monitor nonconforming product to ensure proper disposition and
control.
- As appropriate, prepare and issue Problem Elimination Plans
(PEP). 3. Serve as a technical resource for production groups and
others, as appropriate, regarding product characteristics and
quality requirements. 4. Mindful of improving methods and processes
in completing assignments. Implements new ideas on approval of
supervisor. 5. Operate various equipment including calipers,
micrometers, rulers, thread gages, personal computers and general
office equipment. 6. Understand the requirements for document
control and report any nonconformities identified in the course of
production audits. 7. Understand the requirements for the
calibrations system and report any nonconformities identified in
the course of production audits. 8. Keeps work area neat, clean,
organized, and under control. 9. Is responsible for quality and
safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and
policies. Required: High School education. Preferred: College
course work in business administration, manufacturing technology or
related courses, two years' experience in a manufacturing and/or
