Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,296 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: No license or background hits Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry. The unit accommodates patients with a variety of medical-surgical needs, including neurological cases. Common patient diagnoses include joint replacements, fractures, COPD exacerbation, and pneumonia. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. Nurses will be required to titrate specific medications. Charge nurses are present on each shift. Patient care techs assist on the unit with a ratio of 1:10-20. Telemonitor technicians provide support for strip interpretation. Nurses should have some tele awareness. Shifts are scheduled from 0630-1900 and 1830-0700. Travelers will be scheduled according to unit needs. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Holiday requirements include 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Year. Floating to other medical surgical areas may be required. Nurses are expected to wear navy blue scrubs. The unit emphasizes hourly rounding and responsiveness to patient needs. Mechanical lifts are available in every other room. Successful candidates will demonstrate good attendance, teamwork, and a patient-first attitude. The unit serves a diverse patient population.
