The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse looking for a rewarding and flexible travel assignment with a trusted healthcare staffing company. Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of Nebraska or compact license). • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience required. • BLS Certification (required). • Health requirements: COVID vaccination, recent PPD test or Chest X-Ray. • Must successfully pass background check(s) and drug screening. • Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills. Key Responsibilities/Duties • Assist surgical team by preparing the operating room, instruments, and supplies. • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. • Monitor patient vitals, condition, and response to anesthesia/surgery. • Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards. • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely. • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes. • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding surgical care and recovery.
