36 or 48-hour option available. The position is in a fast-paced
medical/surgical unit. The unit provides care to trauma patients
with a focus on acute and chronic needs. Patient ratios are 1:5
during the day and 1:6 at night; night ratios can occasionally
reach 1:7. Experience in a large, urban hospital is preferred.
First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 2 or more
years of trauma experience and meet all other requirements. The
facility is nicotine-free and does not accept local candidates;
candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility. Up to
two weeks of requested time off is permitted, but must be submitted
with the application. Two weekend shifts are required during a
four-week schedule period. Mandatory scrubs are required; specific
color and branding guidelines must be followed. All contracts must
end on a Sunday. Travelers must go into lab testing within 48-72
hours of accepting an offer.
